Summary
Life is not going as planned for Marinette Dupain-Chang. When she was 14, she'd honestly thought that by now she'd be a famous fashion designer and she'd be living out the rest of her life with Adrien in all her hamster-loving glory. At 25, all she wants to do is get her MBA and launch MDC to new heights. No romance, unnecessary rivals, or convoluted plans. But life has a funny sort of irony to it.
Or, where Marinette fake-dates Damian, someone she cannot stand for the life of her, until it doesn't feel like fake-dating anymore.
This is my take on a character study. I just want to warn people that Marinette isn't a good person, far from it. She is flawed, she does a lot of shitty things, but there are consequences. Overall, this fic focuses on her personality traits and exaggerates them slightly to show really how they impact her life. I want to apologise for any butchering of the characters I may do (It's not an excuse), but I do have reasons for doing so.Updates on the first of every month (for now, update rate may increase as time goes on.)

On this particular night, the full moon shone down, illuminating the city in a hazy glow. The warmth of street lamps, of the Eiffel Tower, decorated the cool skyline.
The breeze was chilly, eliciting goosebumps to raise on her bare arms. Marinette breathed it in, allowing it to fill her lungs entirely, before she slowly breathed out with a faint smile.
Waking up as Marinette Dupain-Cheng, of all people, wasn't exactly the worst. At least, that's what she thought before the world decided to prove her wrong by throwing out everything she thought she knew. Between actually risking her life on the daily in a war she never wanted to join, trying to untangle a frankly overcomplicated one-sided love square without, y'know, ruining everything, and attempting to live her 'normal' life on top of that- let's just say, Marinette's got a lot on her plate.

Вона йде до школи, говорить, коли потрібно, бере на себе справи, які можна довести до кінця. Повертається в гру і продовжує рухатися вперед, навіть якщо не до кінця розуміє, навіщо саме. Так легше не розвалитися остаточно.
Врешті-решт, Ледібаг з’явилася завдяки Феліксу, і цього вже достатньо, щоб триматися за неї. Не віддавати, не відпускати, не дозволяти зникнути слідом.
