In fact, Buck is less nauseous in general. Which is great. He also has more energy. He’s still tired at the end of the day, but he is growing a whole human in him so he supposes that’s normal.
Regardless, Buck is excited to experience the fun of his pregnancy now. Apparently the second trimester is considered the “golden period” which Buck is more than ready for.

He sees Eddie much more than that of course. Not nearly as much as he’d like—though, really, that’s his fault. Buck’s the one who’ll occasionally pretend he’s not home. He tries not to, but he can’t help it. Sometimes it’s all just too much noise. He wishes Eddie would just push. But that’s not his responsibility, Buck knows this.
Buck just wants to be able to go back to being the happy-go-lucky guy who everyone loves having around and is willing to be the butt of every well-meaning joke.

Ugh, Eddie loves her so much.
As Buck reaches the bar, Eddie notices a man trying to get her attention. Buck plays nice and polite for a bit before getting the drinks and coming straight back to Eddie.
Ha! The man notices Buck kissing Eddie’s cheek while handing her the drink. And boy, does he look defeated. Too late, random man, Buck is hers.

Buck is too similar to her, too similar to Bobby and she just can’t handle it. She hates that. Hates that she dreads when he’s in the same room as her, nervous when he looks her way.

Adriana doesn’t tell their parents that she’s going to LA. She doesn’t tell Eddie, either—or ask, for that matter.
She does ask Chris, and he thinks it’s a good idea—says as much, on the phone, and doesn’t say much else.
“Buck will probably be hovering,” is what Chris does volunteer.
It still surprises her when the man who opens the door is not Eddie. It’s—Captain America, is the thing that actually comes to mind—a man close to a foot taller than she is, if not more than that, with blond curls and broad shoulders, and he’s got a question in his very blue eyes that’s probably less friendly than the one he actually asks her.
“Uh,” he says. “Can I help you?”

Missing Chris is less of an emotion these days and more of a physical entity. He’s sure everyone can see that he’s slowly hollowing himself out, that he can’t do much of anything else.
But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)
