Summary
Rosemary Clarke never planned on finishing high school in Hawkins, Indiana. She definitely didn’t plan on living with her nerdy science-teacher uncle, getting adopted by a bunch of overexcited middle schoolers, or forming an uneasy co-babysitter alliance with Steve Harrington of all people.
But Hawkins is stranger than it looks, and normal keeps slipping through Rose’s fingers. “I am helping,” Yelena mumbles around the spoon in her mouth. Bob shoots her a speculative side eye but say nothing.
“Supervision is helping.”
Snorting his disbelief rather than engaging, Bob returns to his work, pretending to studiously ignore the way her pink tongue licked at her cereal spoon, like a kitten desperate for the last remnants of cream.
For all his pretending, the subtle reddening of his cheeks, and the way his tongue peeks out to lick at his lips as if he can taste her, is a dead giveaway that she has his attention.
