  3. Summary

A Harry Potter Fix It Crossover series, where Harry is presented by Death with a choice: to stay and never be able to be happy until die, or to go and build his happiness from scratch with his own hands.

Harry Potter always chose what felt right over what was easy.

    Or

Harry Potter is a person who is, in addition to being curious, reckless, nosy, sarcastic and – let's face it – a little masochistic. His family's cursed luck sees this, takes it with both hands and laughs.

Magical artifacts placed in the right place and activated at the right time are a fucking bitch, by the way.

    •••

In a way, Harry Potter is a destroyer of worlds, a deviant, one who, when presented with the inevitable that has been prophesied, laughs and promptly destroys Fate with his own hands. And thanks to that, many worlds, Destinies and people change for the better.

  5. Summary

Or the one where the author says fuck it and throws out the epilogue to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and takes the trouble to give the protagonist a better ending than that marital nightmare.

And in this house we totally and completely deny the miserable existence of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. And we disapprove JK's disgusting transphobia, of course.

    Summary

"Ser Duncan," Baelor says kindly. Softly. His voice is as gentle as Duncan remembers it to be. It's a warm timbre that melts like honey and Duncan is sure he can taste it. He can taste the Prince in all the ways he knows he should not. "I've missed the chance to properly greet you, though, I do recall you move quick."

Duncan knows it is a jest. He’d taken off from Ashford the moment Baelor had risen from his deathbed. He knows it is a jest because it has taken an entire spring for their paths to cross again.

But Baelor doesn't sound upset. He sounds as if he is smiling and Duncan wishes nothing more than to see, but he refuses. His gaze digs into the sweet cakes, never up at the Prince.

"Tart cakes," Baelor says, misunderstanding his staring. "You've chosen to wear the eyepatch I’ve given you?"

    *

In which Baelor survives the Trial, and Duncan is sure putting distance between them will keep the Prince out of harms way.

    Summary

“He didn’t mean it!” Aegon gestured at Daeron, who had yet to move or make a sound aside from the occasional drunken gurgle. “He’s just out of it is all. I promise, Ser.”

“He thanked me for standing there to catch it, boy. He meant it.” The giant looked up from his washing to Aegon, and his eyes widened dramatically at Maekar. Aegon turned to follow his gaze, and his big eyes became even wider than the giant’s.

“Aegon,” said Maekar, voice deathly quiet. “Where is your hair?”

    Summary

Duncan the Tall finds his soulmark on a dead man prince in Ashford, and that should be the end of it.

A young Baelor Breakspear finds his soulmark on a mysterious and wounded knight during a war march.

At a squint, Duncan considers, an ending is only another beginning. Sometimes, when the sun sets just right, the gods are kind enough to give a fool another chance to do things right.
