Most people think that silence is far preferable to screaming, but Dr Robinavitch knows that the opposite is true in the ER. Screaming means the patient has the ability to maintain their airway, whether that's a construction worker with a crushed pelvis or a newborn baby testing out her lungs for the first time. Silence is a worrying sign.

Part of him knows Dutch and Hosea are getting frustrated about the lack of progress on finding the Braithwaite’s gold or the Gray’s treasure or whatever the hell it is. Part of him knows everyone is getting nervous about being in one place for so long. Part of him knows that Dutch is stressed and tired, that he’s probably just taking out his frustrations, that he probably doesn’t really mean what he’s saying…
But another, much bigger part of Arthur is stunned and indignant and hurt. And, like a wounded animal, the hurt quickly turns to rage.
“Well how ‘bout you go make us some money, Dutch?”
“…Excuse me?”

Arthur could remember Dutch grinning, reassuring him that they would. Insisting that they were just going to test the waters. See if there were any fish worth catching.

[This is a mix of Lull by kikujiro and Mourn the Living by NakiTengoku! I heavily suggest reading both of their works before reading this one, as it is meant to be somewhat of a shared universe between the two. For those who have read it, during the final chapter of Lull, Barney is dreaming the end part. It then transitions to Mourn the Living, with more of my own twist to make it fit. “We were in the lab, something went wrong, I did something wrong…” Viktor's eyes were darting from side to side as if he was really trying hard to remember. “There were these white creatures or robots? And the explosion. Oh fuck.”
Viktor's eyes focused on Jayce and they were full of panic.
“The explosion Jayce” he continued. “What if I killed someone? You told me to stop and I didn't listen!”

Set after the events of season 2. Jayce and Viktor didn't die but ended up somewhere. Viktor can't fully remember the full extent of what he did and as he slowly begins to remember, his mental health gets worse and worse. Jayce is also struggling with his own memories of what happened. They're both in pain and trying to figure out how to help themselves and each other while also trying to figure out their new life.
