One social-climbing Gillikinese girl who aspired to be a sorceress was beneath the Wonderful Witch’s notice. Galinda wouldn’t stand for that. Elphaba was the most powerful woman in Oz, and Galinda was going to be by her side.

You’d think a summons would break up the monotony, but they were all the same. Destroy the church, eat this baby, make me your bride. Blah blah blah.
No thanks! He’d just call CPS nowadays to get the baby somewhere safe. He couldn’t step foot in churches, and he wasn’t looking for another person to disappoint.
Now, he was more inclined to ignore the summons, let them fade away and be dissatisfied with his no-show and find another lesser demon to do the job. They’ve petered out over the years, thankfully. No one was looking for a washed-up king of hell. He heard some of the overlords took the opportunity to take contracts this way. Not his problem really, let them at it. Free will and all that jazz.
So, when a summons appeared above his head, he ignored it easily and kept his hands steady as he painted the details on his newest ducky. A few minutes later, the circle disappeared, and he thought that was that.Then twenty minutes later, another appeared, and he blinked several times before looking up. This came from the same individual. They were able to rewrite all that in new blood and had the energy to summon him again?
Oh okay, maybe this one would pique his interest.
