Uranus desperately needs some peace and quiet to get any painting done, but his lovely, well-meaning, incredibly loud moons won’t stop bothering him. His solution? Paint them with “magic paint” that makes them have to play outside or else they explode within 30 seconds inside. It goes about as well as he expected it to, but maybe a little better?

X sighed heavily, his head flopping down. His head was pounding, and he felt unable to form a single coherent thought.
“Mmhhaa… if this continues, I might have to call in sick… again.” He muttered, a low rumbling sound, as he complained to nobody in particular.
Then, out of the blue, his stomach twisted in pain, cramping up tightly. He gasped, which turned into a strained grunt as he clutched the side of the porcelain sink.

Sun gasped, immediately stifling the sharp, shaky inhale with a wet cough. Panic tainted his thoughts, swirling them faster and faster and stealing away his breaths. The star grimaced, realization suddenly flashing through his chaotic mind. Oh…oh wait! It's someone! They're alive!

Summary
His eyes drooped, just for a moment, his vision blurring out and thoughts slowing down agian- before he blinked himself back awake with a jolt, stretched out his arms, and forced the stupid rocks to bend to his will. This should be easy. He'd held the asteroid belt together basically his entire life! By all logic, this should have been a done deal.
The rocks, for whatever reason, slowly were dragged back to where they were supposed to be. One by one. And then stopped after the strain became too much, and Jupiter had to gasp as his body quit in him.
And the largest tried not to scream in frustration.
"Don't you think you could use a break, big guy?" His largest moon yawned from his orbit, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes slowly. Ah... Jupiter supposed the constant tugging would wake them up, yeah. Guilt instantly replaced his misery. "You've been at it ever since the Sun passed out."

The planets nodded, and Neptune didn’t really know what he was agreeing to, but he nodded as well.
“Good.” Earth nodded back, turning to unlock the gate, “Now please try not to get into trouble or get hurt. This is a public pool so there will be other humans here, so I’m taking a big risk by trusting you guys. Can you promise me there won’t be any incidents?”
The planets nodded, and Earth hesitated for a split second, hand lingering over the lock of the gate. Neptune shifted his weight from side to side, excitement buzzing in his ears. Just open it already! He wants to swim!
Earth sighed, muttering something under his breath and, finally, opening the gate.

So that's why he was here at 2pm, knackered to the bone.
And that's also why he had ended up falling asleep on shift.
X was lucky he had a small office room. It was much smaller compared to the grander offices for the other employees. Due to X’s (and the other’s: WISE’s, PSO’s and OGLE’s) higher statuses in the work force, they had the privilege of having their own room.
Which meant only WISE had seen X leant over his desk with his head in his arms deeply sleeping.

“Technically you’re just floating,” Neptune chirped, swimming literal circles around him. “Try to go to that rock!” He lifted one dripping hand and pointed at a rock just a little further from them, poking out of the water in an oddly-square shape. “I think I’ll call that one Proteus-rock. It looks like Proteus.” Uranus blinked at him, and then at the rock, and then he blinked again the moment he realized Neptune was actually right, and then he gave up on understanding anything. “Swim to Proteus-rock!”
Swimming was harder than he expected.
Much harder than floating.

Jupiter dropped down (ignoring the way his knees cracked at the movement), shifting his weight to be in a more comfortable position.
Jupiter scanned the toys scattered around, "So…what's the game?"
"It's a tea party!" Metis grinned, picking up one of the cups and clinking it with Elara's. A tea party? Aren't the little moons not supposed to have drinks in their rooms? It's a mess to clean up if they spill, and who knows what kind of stuff they could sneak in.
Jupiter frowned, grabbing one of the toy cups and–

Ceres tried to purr in attempt to calm himself, but his efforts were in vain; the instinct that allowed him to make the nice sound had been robbed, replaced by strange vocal cords that weren't his own.
The skies let out another boom.
Ceres cried out, and pushed his face into his pillow as much as he could.
So why was he so terrified of it every time?
"Ceres?" That same, gentle voice he adored sleepily called, somewhat soothing his nerves. Not enough to abandon the darkness he'd discovered, but enough to ease his trembling. "Hey, what's wrong?"
Boom!
He grabbed the edges of the soft thing his head lay upon, and pushed it as much against his ears as he could. "...Oh!"
"A-aw..." The ringed dwarf planet cooed at him with a yawn, sounding somewhat shaky himself. "T-thunder sounds scary when you're this s-small, huh...?"
Or
After returning to the solar system, our dwarf friends have been dragged to Earth's surface too. The smallest of them doesn't seem to be appreciating the sounds of thunder at three in the morning.

Summary
Planet X had been missing for a while. This hadn’t been the first time for WISE. Quite often, he would miss the presence of the rogue he came to know. Even just naming X a rogue felt unreal — he never knew that the day to do so would come. He had always grasped and held on tightly to the realistic idea that X would leave, move on, and become another planet he would class as an enemy.
But, thankfully, that never happened. X had agreed to stay, and so the Rogues had found a new place to dominate and populate.
And this time, WISE had a proper companion he could console in.
WISE and Planet X have a much needed conversation.
