Basically a little what if fic inspired by Cynthia Erivo's song , Might Be In Love With you. It's a beautiful song, I highly recommend you give it a listen if you haven't. -

When Glinda the Good finally returned to her suite after a day of Celebration, all she felt was the emptiness of grief. She can't move on from losing Elphaba five years ago. Still clinging to bittersweet memories.
Yet when a familiar crack appeared in her balcony window she's not greeted by a famillar green Witch, but a simple note.However, perhaps this note is all she needed. A little hope that maybe just maybe, things will be alright. Maybe she can finally look towards the future, instead of the past.

Join her as she navigates her new life as the owner of Uplands Bouquet, the new shop in the city. Where she meets a range of people during her first weeks. From a friendly old Goat professor to a mean council leader. See her make friends and enemies and maybe even find the true love she's been dreaming of? Though how does she cope when that true love is the mysterious owner of a bookshop? A bookshop that doesn't even own a single romance book in its shelves?Can she prove herself to the mean Mrs Morrible who seems adamant on closing her shop for good? Can she find her way into Miss Thropp's heart with her charm and flowers? There's no telling, but she's not going give up that easy.

'When Elphaba first told her she would be joining Fiyero and a few of their friends to a local drinking spot she was surprised to say the least. Social outings definitely wasn't her usual free time activity. The closest she usually gets is a cup of tea in the local cafe they both go to since their loathing became a full and steady friendship. No, her best friend wasn't one for such occasions. Loud music and even louder people often made her green skin cruel. It wasn't her scene. Neither was drinking cheap alcohol in a cramped space, Galinda wasn't even sure she'd seen the girl drink a sip of anything but tea, coffee or water since she met her.'
Basically what it says on the tin. Elphaba gets drunk, Galinda looks after her. There may be a sort of kind of love confession sprinkled in.
Just the two dorks being in love but not acting on it. -

'Glinda watched as Elphaba slipped through her fingers for the second time. The last time. Her hand reached out, hopelessly grasping at the air between as she stood, failing to stop
the dark figure that was her brightest light walk to her death. No matter how much her heart ached. How loud her mind screamed out, there was nothing she could do. All she could do was watch. Her silent pleas fell on deaf ears. The words she needed to say had been spoken. The words she wanted to say...they were left unsaid. Yet still they hung in the air, just out of reach.'What started off as a little angsty piece as a reaction to the For Good trailer became more of a hopeful 'what if' scenario.
Mostly based around the scene from musical as we've seen rather little of what may happen in the film.

In this we explore an alternative version of the melting scene focused more on Glinda, where in this version Elphaba ends up revealing herself to her after she hears Glinda's cries and love confession. How would Glinda react to finding out Elphaba is in fact alive? How does she react when its revealed she wasn't the only one alive? Most importantly, what did this mean for the love they share? -

'A small bell rang from above the door as Galinda pushed the door open. The sound echoing through the small shop, making her presence known. Her eyes blinked a few times to adjust to the dim light. All the windows had their thick curtains mostly drawn, letting only slithers of sunlight in. There were a few lamps that hung from the wall yet they didn't do much. Nothing like the well lit salons and stores she was used to. This place felt almost abandoned. Maybe it was.'
This is just a little one shot for an au idea I had.
Where Elphaba is the mysterious green owner of a small old bookshop and Galinda the owner of a flowershop. Both shops somewhere in the Emerald City. -

Elphaba woke somewhere unfamiliar. The bed she laid in felt similar to her own hard mattress, yet didn't smell the same. The usual earthy tones of her own fragrance mixing with the flowery sweet scent of Galinda was not there. Instead she could only smell a sort of chemically scent, which failed to hide what she could only guess was her own sweat. The smell of sickness clinging to the sheets. Her sickness.
She woke with a faint groan. A dull pulsing ache in her head. An ache that seemed to travel throughout her body. From the top of her head to the tip of her toes. There was a sort of tightness in her chest. A soreness in her throat. A weight on her lap. She didn't feel as bad as she did earlier. Yet she still felt awful.Part two of my sick fic Lean on me. Where Elphie gets the loving she deserves staring protective loving Galinda.

'The early morning sun filtered through the gaps of the curtains. Drenching the dormitory in its golden light. Reflecting against all the pink in the room. Elphaba was the first to wake up. A stray strand of it hitting her face as she laid there on the bed. A quiet groan left her lips, her head turning away from the light as she tried to fight off the need to wake up. Her body shifting only to feel a weight against her chest. Rather heavy weight that made a similar groan when she had tried to roll onto her side. That alone made her want to wake wake up.'
The day of Elphaba's trip to the Emerald City had finally arrived. Yet after a night of celebrations and confessions the green witch finds herself awake in Galinda's bed with the blonde on top of her. It is in that moment that she starts to question what her heart desire truly is. Does she already have it?
Yet can she allow herself what she truly wants when there was so much more she needed to do?Knowing what choice she'd make between her hearts desire and the duty and promises she made, she lets herself savour the short moment where she has it all. Before time turns out and the train takes her away.

'It all started with a headache. A dull one nestled at the front of Elphaba's skull. Just behind her eyes. She woke up with it in the early morning and thought nothing of it. Perhaps she had spent too long reading back on her notes last night. It explained how tired she felt. Just an eye strain from the lamp light. Something she had been dealing with for a few days is all. Nothing to worry about, it'll pass.'
Elphaba wakes up feeling ill but refuses to take the day off. When what was just a headache becomes a full bloom fever Galinda has to step in to make sure she gets the treatment and rest she needs.

After Fiyero's death, Elphaba's mind snapped.
Yet her plans to race straight towards the emerald tower and finish this once and for all is dissolved when she gets captured by the Gale Force. Instead of killing her then and there she's taken to the Wizard where he decides the best course action for the wicked witch to force the whereabouts of the grimmeire out of her.
When it was clear the witch won't spit it out, there was only one course of action. A public execution.Glinda the Good was living a lie. Her bright smiles and cheerful domina was nothing but a mask, and it was starting to crack. Fiyero, her fiance and only trustworthy figure in her life was gone. Running away to join her once friend now turned enemy only to get himself killed. Leaving her alone in the hell of her own making. Alone to allow her thoughts to wonder, to hope and long for the girl she called her friend. The girl she knew deep down was much more than a friend, but she was too much of a coward to realise. Now the news of Elphaba's execution has spread and she is the one to do the deed. She has a choice to make. Does she continue to play the role given to her? Or does she finally take the leap. Does she save the woman she loves?
