Summary
In hindsight, Fenris wasn't sure why he'd let himself be spurred into that damn project - and by Anders of all people. Growing a plant shouldn't be a big deal, except that it kinda was: It brought into focus the many, many things that went wrong in his life. But he was free now, had overcome everything thrown in his way. Maybe it was due to the fact that Kirkwall was such an epic mess, but his best laid plans weren't exactly turning out as intended.
And his strange, botanical project was only the beginning, as everything spiraled down the maelstrom of events that would tie him together with the mage far beyond everything he could've ever imagined in his wildest dreams.

As a slave in Tevinter, Fenris was never given the privilege of faith, taught that his tongue was too low to sing the prophet's verses.
But Fenris is a free man now, searching for new faith. One that has space in its philosophy for elves, and slaves, and criminals. One that has space, even, for him.
This is a story about Fenris' relationship with Andrastianism, and the way that Sebastian Vael attempts to prey on his trauma. It is about abuse and institutional corruption, prejudice and freedom.
It is, of course, about revolution.

Summary
Originally written in response to a prompt on the Dragon Age Kinkmeme. Three years after the events of Act 3, Anders and Justice are separated, but everything goes wrong in the process. Fenris is a gladiator (sort of) and Anders wears a Saarebas collar (sometimes) and Danarius's summer pavilion factors in heavily. The high peaks of Sundermount were quiet that day. What the others noticed most was the silence—no strain of the bowstring as arrows were notched from high above, nor the hushed shiver of elvhen hunters, not wind, hiding behind the leaves.
