Summary
Buck is currently having the best month of his life.
The sun is shining. The birds are chirping. The weather is right in that golden zone where he can go out without a jacket and feel the sun warm his skin without being too warm. And Eddie Diaz is his boyfriend. The love of his life, if he's honest, but he's playing it cool. So completely cool.
The one problem, however, is that Eddie has only recently discovered his homosexuality. And is only out to Buck and Christopher. Which means no one else in their lives knows. Both about Eddie's sexuality and about their recently updated relationship status. Buck feels a bit like he's going insane trying to hide it from everyone. All he wants is to sing Eddie's praises from every rooftop in LA. He wants to jump up and down and tell every person who looks his way that he's in love with Eddie Diaz. He's dating the love of his life! He has a perfect boyfriend!
or
5 times Buck tried to hide his and Eddie's relationship, and 1 time he failed to do so.

Summary
Eddie grew up around shit like this. He recognizes it, the subtle insinuation, the thing the sheriff is not-so-subtly dancing around. It's the idea that the spouse is always the first suspect, and he knows what he means when he talks about his wife's nickname for him in response to Eddie correcting him on Buck's name. He hears the invisible quotation marks around the word friend. He lived in Texas and spent enough time in the Army not to miss the comment about his wings. He just doesn't care anymore, because it doesn't matter.
Buck is hurt. He has to be, because he was in a car crash, and if Eddie is this sore and beaten up, then Buck has to be in a similar condition. And if he's not in the hospital, he's either on the side of the road alone and afraid, or someone took him.
And he's just so fucking tired of defending his heterosexuality, so he doesn't. Because who cares? Fuck that homophobic sheriff and this entire homophobic town. Eddie doesn't care what they think. All he cares about is getting out of this hospital and finding Buck. He knows he can't rest until he's got his fingers on Buck's pulse again.

Summary
When they cross paths, Cloud avoids him, making up excuses about courseloads and upcoming midterms. Sometimes, Zack simply wishes him well; other times, Zack’s eyes fall, just barely, and Cloud feels what he thinks could be heartbreak.
After the first week, he accepts that he’s gay. He had a crush on Kaison, that’s it. He starts to hang out with Zack again. His heart grows when Zack makes them breakfast, it stutters when Zack puts coffee in a tumbler for Cloud to take with him to his morning classes, mentioning Cloud’s stress over midterms last week.
A month after Cloud accepts he’s gay, he’s forced to admit he has a crush on Zack.
A week after that, he realizes he’s in love with him, and everything seems to fall apart.

Summary
Prince Cloud of Nibelheim has always been alone. His father died when he was young, and his mother cares for the kingdom more than anything else, leaving him by himself.
Ever since Cloud came of age, his mother has been trying to set him up with ladies from other kingdoms, wanting to find a future queen for Nibelheim. Cloud finds that he doesn’t want to find a queen, and so the prince makes a game of rejecting suitors, being harsh and bratty to every woman who approaches him. Though, Cloud knows one day he will have to quit his game and find a lady to rule at his side.
What's best for the kingdom that will one day be his own may not be what's best for him, and the handsome Prince of Gongaga forces Cloud to reconcile with that fact much sooner than he had intended to, but love and duty hardly ever agree, and Cloud must make a difficult decision between what his heart and his kingdom want. -

Summary
Moving slowly, Buck sits up in bed. Groans. Reaches the heel of his hands to press tenderly against his eyes. Inhales, taking in a deep breath. Exhales. Finally, he’s able to open his eyes, and he draws back his hands.
Then, he realizes.
These are not his hands.
Buck stares, flexing out his fingers - not his fingers. They’re long, slender, a little dainty. The index and middle fingers are home to delicate gold rings. The nails are press-ons, colored dark maroon, and what the actual fuck.
A sound comes from his mouth - not his mouth - and it’s a sweet, womanly squeak. Oh god oh god oh god.

Summary
Shannon Diaz née Garrett had a high tolerance for bullshit. You don’t get married at eighteen, become a mom at nineteen, and survive living under the omnipresent gaze of the world’s most… particular in-laws without developing many, many strategies for self-preservation. Every snide remark about Chris’ CP, every passive aggressive comment from Helena Diaz, every vertebra of Eddie’s liquid spine, Shannon took right on the chin with a smile on her face.
But there was no corner of Shannon’s life that she tested her extreme tolerance for bullshit more than whatever the Samwise-and-Frodo, Bert-and-Ernie, Crockett-and-Tubbs hell was going on between her ex-husband and his best friend.
(In which Shannon Diaz née Garrett lives, gets divorced, and helps her ex-husband realize that he’s in love with his best friend)

Summary
The realization goes something like this, as Eddie sits under a flapping rainbow pride flag in the bay of the firehouse and studies its colors.
Red, like his cheeks when Buck smiles at him.
Orange, like the juice he wishes he'd started drinking years ago.
Yellow, like the color of Shannon's dress the day she died.
Green, like the jealousy that strangles him when he thinks about losing Buck.
Blue, like the color of the most beautiful eyes he knows.
Violet, like the bruise blooming on Buck's left cheekbone. Right where Eddie wants to place his lips.
And Eddie thinks, for the first time, that maybe he feels something approaching pride, or something adjacent to it at least, for himself.
Or; In one Pride Month, Eddie meets an old friend, learns about himself, comes out to people who love him and learns to be proud (in roughly that order).

Summary
He plops down on the couch again, sets his elbows on his knees, and looks Eddie in the eye. “Okay. Soooo,” he says. “You’re asking me to marry you.”
“Yes,” Eddie says.
“On a Wednesday,” Buck says.
“Yep.”
“As a friend.”
Eddie’s nose scrunches. “Ye-ep. Just about covers it.”
“Why?”

Summary
"If Buck had stumbled upon Some Like it Hot a year ago, he would probably have either been arrested for loitering without buying anything or in massive credit card debt by now. As it stands, he’s been in enough in the last three months to get a double eyebrow raise from his accountant.
When Kevin had asked why Buck had spent the equivalent of a small country’s GDP at a random coffee shop at least five miles out of the way of the studio, his gym, or the homes of anyone he knows, Buck had said the coffee was just that good. Which wasn’t strictly a lie, if you only count the first time he’d gone in."
