Summary
Joel had always been alone in the life games, that was until double life. but now it was over. And etho was gone, the couple split across servers. Jimmy, his best friend, comforts him with the fact they are in the same situation. Jimmy longs for tango.
Now the hermitcraft-empires crossover is happening, they’ll finally reunite. Jimmy runs to tango- but wait, where’s etho?
Aka- Joel has attachment issues, and the first person who didn’t leave him is nowhere to be seen. featuring, very determined (and cute) ranchers.

Summary
Joel spent most of his life alone. Hybrids were hunted, seen as inhuman. Trusting others was a risk, and he had seen enough to know better. So he spent his time scavenging and “borrowing” from hunters as he traveled from place to place, never truly finding a safe place to settle.
That was until he was caught. Being taken by hunters changed everything. He comes back to a life full of pain, cages, and cruelty. That was until he met Etho.
Etho wasn’t scared when he was captured again. He had grown up in the system, he knew what he was getting into when the hunters pinned him down and took him to a cage. He knew his friends, who referred to themselves as the Hermits, a group of hybrids hiding safely away from hunters, would come save him.
So when he meets Joel, he promises him that he’d get him out. Joel struggles to trust him, but as the two survive captivity together, Joel realizes that maybe he could learn to trust again. Maybe a friend was something he actually did need in life.

Summary
Wels was taken by humans a number of years ago now. He had spent those years between various owners, acting as a guard dog either for impressive homes or for high profile humans who felt like they needed a security detail.
He is then bought by a man to protect him and his most prized possession, which happens to be a cursed dog hybrid who has apparently been taken from him before.~Another installment of the Like a Deer in the Headlights universe :D

Summary
Joel's been a victim to the Watcher's Experimentation and Research Group for a while now, with his twin sister Pearl. He can't remember much of his life, but when a new boy joins the laboratory, he knows he has to take care of them as much as possible.
Joel shows this boy his friends, treats him as if he was everything in the world, but it's not meant to last when they grow apart.
Then Etho's 18th birthday begins to crawl closer, Joel has to put aside his differences and propose an idea he'd had for years, why don't they all simply escape?

Joel Beans had never liked symmetry.
