Summary
When the Sirens first attacked, an unprepared humanity became battered and broken. No matter what they threw at the sirens, they kept getting pushed back. The best of humanity’s regiments and fleets could not stand up to the threat of the Sirens and their advanced technology.
But then came the Wisdom cubes and with it, the creation of the Kansen. Ships given human form.
The Kansen became the first line of defense against the Sirens. And yet, despite their importance to the survival of the human race, they are hardly trusted by civilians, and many politicians consider them as future threats.
The navies of each country remained smart enough to assign commanders that have, at the very least, neutral opinions on Kansen.
Unfortunately, that means that commanders have to balance human politics, with politicians supporting and renouncing Kansen making a mess out of an already stressful situation, while dealing with the numerous shenanigans back at base.
This cycle has continued for a long, arduous war. One where humanity itself may be its own biggest threat.
But then, the cycle shifts. For the die had been cast. And it was no longer simply ships that became human.

Summary
It is 2022. For six years the Sirens have striven to destroy humanity. The private military organisation Azur Lane has stood against them, the bulwark against the terror that threatens mankind.
Azur Lane's strength comes from the KANSEN: warrior women, all possessors of the rare Illuminator gene, which grants them the ability to tap into sapientium, the mineral that is the cornerstone of the world's economy. Using special sapientium-infused Devicers and the fantastical Wisdom Cubes, the KANSEN are able to summon the firepower, speed and durability of warships, to do battle with the deadly Sirens.
Perseus is one of the newest KANSEN, fresh to Azur Lane's British Division. Transferred into an elite fleet of hardened veterans, she prepares herself for the gruelling, vital task of escorting convoys through the Siren-infested waters of the North Atlantic.
But things won't be easy for Perseus. Constant conflict, dangerous enemies, mysterious colleagues, and, worst of all, her growing infatuation with her teammate, the battlecruiser Repulse, may do her apart when she needs her head the most.
Will she survive? Or will she fall?
