Others watch him practice, eyes wide. He’s just so good, they say as he pretends he cannot hear them, that no one ever gets close enough to touch him. He can catch every arrow, block every blow. With a roll of his eyes, he stops for the afternoon, resigning himself to pacing the border of the camp instead.
But even there he cannot escape the rumours. The gods smile upon him. They turn every attack away, and bright-eyed Athene herself stands beside him, defending him. The guards mutter between themselves, glancing at him. With a sigh, Technoblade continues his patrol, knowing there’s nothing he can do.
Technoblade hates it. He’s a soldier, he’s no more important than the rest of them. And besides, it’s all based on a lie anyway. Athene doesn’t stand by him. He’s not so skilled that none can harm him. He doesn’t have iron skin.
No. He cannot die.

"I'll show it to you one day" he doesn't know why he says that, he knows by now not to make promises he doesn't know he can keep.
"Really?"
"I promise" and he swears to himself he'll find a way to keep it.

Or Techno is a hero on a mission that quickly gets derailed when he meets Tommy, a boy who's spent his whole life locked in one room with only Dream, the biggest villain of the century, for company.

Summary
The night Tommy disappeared, it went like this:
Tubbo screamed the words that became his goodbye. He can’t accept that Tommy is gone, because that would be accepting that the last words they exchanged were angry and intended to hurt. So he doesn’t accept it. He’ll search for years if he has to.
Techno let Tommy leave without so much as trying to stop him. He’s replayed the memory of that night and wished he’d done anything else, until he thinks the guilt might be enough to destroy him. He thinks he might already be on his way there.
And Quackity can’t help but feel like this is all just a bitter echo. This town is cursed, and Tommy is only its latest victim.

“My gold.” Techno spoke, thousands of voices echoing in his words. Whispering and chattering. His calloused hand reaching up, dragging along the blood that was dripping from Tommy’s neck. Dripping down and burning away in the flames consuming the roots that held him.
The same hand that had fed him and given him shelter, as involuntary as it had been, was gently placed at the back of his skull. Techno’s thumb pulling across the golden earring that now felt like an anchor dragging him below the surface of a pool of magma.
Wearing Techno’s face, the Blood God grinned at him.
Tommy did not regret punching him.

Techno walked up the path and sat on the steps. All the lights were off. He didn't knock or ring the bell. He pulled his phone out and called Wilbur.
"Tech?" Wilbur answered after the third ring, sounding tired.
"Hi Wil." Techno said. "Can you let me in?"

Summary
Technoblade picked up the phone without pause, a motion he repeated more than eight or nine times an hour. He wouldn't say he disliked getting calls, it was a break from his grading, but he wasn't the fondest of talking to confused students.
Techno recited his little speech into the receiver, telling the caller that they'd reached his professor's office and that they were speaking to a TA.
Through the phone, where Techno normally expected to be told of an issue, there was shuffling. A curt clack and the ring of a bell in the distance.
After a few moments of silence, Techno went to speak, but closed his mouth as music started to play through the phone. It was strange and uneven, shaky piano notes that sounded live, and it was no melody he had ever heard before. It was nothing more than six notes and a panicked breath before the phone began to hum as the line was cut off.
Techno pulled the phone away from his ear.

Technoblade was found four years after going missing at age eight. His younger brother never was. Ten years later, Techno started getting phone calls.

Summary
Techno took in a deep breath, allowing the thoughts to creep down his throat and wrap around his heart, pressing tightly as they took root. Completely in control, just as they always were.
“Don’t lie to me like that,” he said. His voice sounded almost robotic; void of the assumed anger, the mourning of his freedom, the regret that Wilbur so desperately wanted to see in him. “We both know that all you want here is a confession, that way you can ship me off to a life in hell until I drop dead and everyone forgets I even existed. I’m not naive, Siren. You can assume all you’d like about me, but never, ever assume that I am a fool.”
Wilbur’s eyes bore into his soul as his arms crossed tightly over his chest, as though he were trying to reassure himself. If Techno were to look closer, he would be able to see the tears that shone in his eyes.

well not alone anymore, he's got this really small adorable looking alien now! and he's in too deep, he's already sworn his life to the guy.
Tommy picks up alien friends left and right to slowly work his way around space to survive. His hell through space does not prevent the affection that his heart still retains and he slowly begins to heal the scars that have been formed from being treated like an experiment, an animal.
now if only he could talk to them.

God is good.
God is good. God is merciful. God has great hands bound in gold, gloves as soft as silk and hard as ivory, molding the world into a new thing, a solid thing, a beautiful thing.
God is killed, brutally and swiftly, by something of the same lineage. The final Angel in the sky brings the Heavens down with it when it falls. The Blood God and the Angel of Death walk the earth, watching kingdoms fall and lands scorch themselves before their divinity could hope to touch it, before flame might even exist. They watch this broken Earth develop, lost with only a dead God to guide it.
Technoblade and Philza do not claim to be as they are named. They do not deny it, either.
And history always repeats. Trying to execute a God rarely works.
