Tim grinned, and watched as Jason took his shot. His own shot still tasted like hand-sanitizer, he sighed.
“You’ve dyed your hair?“, he asked afterwards. He figured the white strand was just a side effect of the pit and not a misguided effort on Jason’s part to appear as an e-boy or something. Who knew? He wasn’t judging either way, dying probably gave him a free-pass, style wise.
(Who was Tim kidding? If that strand was really bleached, he was very much judging.)

Tim nodded, pulling at a thread in the blanket.
“I knew I was… Um… You know…”
“Dying?” Jason suggested.
Tim’s breath caught and he looked up at Jason with wide eyes. It was one thing for Damian to say it, another thing for Tim to think it, but this was Jason. The crazy, messed up, loving, Jason. His older brother, his rock, his absolute pain in the ass of a coworker and friend.
“You nearly fell off a building, Drakey-Boy.” Jason said. “After you coughed up blood. And before you had a fever that peaked at 107 because you always want to outdo the rest of us, you little shit. Your health is getting worse, not better. And it’s just going to keep getting worse.”
“Yeah…” Tim mumbled. “Yeah, it will.”

Tim Drake's immune system is failing, every infection and illness chipping away at his body and his resolve. Jason thinks that he has found an immunotherapy that might help but that would involve Tim admitting not only that he needs the help, but actually accepting that he deserves the help too.

Summary
I haven't consumed anything cannon in batman since like 2014 so all I know about most things and about Damian, Cass, and Duke are from TikTok edits and fics that I have read. Damian, Cass, and Duke might be a bit ooc sorry about that.
In this series Jason never slits Tim's throat at the tower as Tim was able to get through to him and got off with only a mild beating and a couple shallow stab wounds. Damian never tried to Kill Tim just not too thrilled about his existence, but they did get into a few physical fights. Tim isn't/wasn't CEO of Wayne enterprise he only works with Bruce. Duke lives in the manor. Cass lives in the manor most of the time, she leaves for Hong Kong for a week or two every now and then. I am more of a TimKon shipper but I have chosen Bernard to be Tim's boyfriend because he has grown on me. Dick and Barbara are together as well. Also I 100% subscribe to bad parents abusive/neglectful Jack and Janet Drake. Bruce definitely calls his kids sweetheart and you can pry that headcanon from my cold dead hands.

"Obviously it's a no," he hisses, throwing his arms out. "I have numerous reasons why and no, I will not be getting into detail with them. Also, Nuke is— you chopped his arm off, you fucker!"
