Satoru is a maths major. He's top of his class, and has what could be described as the perfect life : cool friends, rich parents and everyone seems to worship him.
Suguru, on the other hand, studies law. He's lonely. Not by choice, not really, or at least that's what he's convinced himself to believe. He works harder than anyone else, but it never seems to be enough.
When they're thrown together in the same ethics class, Suguru discovers that envying Satoru is far easier than understanding him.-

His life is peculiar but he wouldn't change a thing. When he gets booked for the big Wayne Halloween party, however, he finds himself getting all tangled up with the Waynes, and the more fortunes he tells, the tighter the snare becomes.or: Tim just wanted to scam Gotham's elite, not end up on the Batfamily's watchlist. Midoriya, what crime skyrocketed during these blackouts? "
"It was kidnapping, right? First, they were all submitted as missing persons reports, but then the um, the victim profiles from each city were similar, so they were changed into kidnapping reports."
"The number of missing persons reports for children in these cities increased by 114%. In Musutafu alone, 47 kids went missing in four days. All ages 5-9. Police, heroes, and civilians began to discover the dead bodies of the missing children dumped around the cities. An estimate of nearly 200 children went missing during this time, and 161 bodies were recovered over a matter of 5 months."
Or when Izuku Midoriya finds a way to investigate a case having to do with a childhood friend who went missing 7 years ago. Bakugo tells him to accept that their friend is dead. Izuku thinks she isn't. He lands in trouble.

"I'm—" and fuck, it's so embarrassing, isn't it? The Sae in his head sneers at how lukewarm and pathetic this all is. Begging for someone to ask him to live. "Um, I'm at the bay, up on the bridge."
Silence for a few beats, and then he can hear the clink of Shidou's ridiculously oversized keychain, followed by the slam of the door and his car coming to life on the other end of the line.
Rin isn't okay, and the only person he can think to turn to is his shitty brother's annoying boyfriend. A fic on platonic bonds, little things that make big differences, learning compassion toward both others and the self, and coming to terms with being alive. More or less.
