Could Hajime find himself again? And could Nagito find the Hope he's been searching for amongst all the despair?

Summary
Nagito didn’t mean for it all to happen. He didn’t mean to hurt anyone. It was all happening too fast, and it kept going. Hajime smiled, held his hand, as though everything was going to be okay, but it was all wrong. The whole island was corrupt, buffering and glitched. And he kept smiling, he just kept telling him it was going to be alright. As though he loved him. As though he didn’t care about the killings and the bloodshed so long as he was by his side.
What was this? What was this romance, this love? Mikan couldn’t understand it, had refused to accept it, had pushed it down and stood on its grave with a stake in her hand and trembling fingers. She was not an equal, she was something lesser, something deserving of ridicule and pain, that was what her family had told her. Was she joking? Was she serious, did she look at her and see something worth being looked at? Was she more than scum, more than a body and a sensitive heart? Did she see her as something worth loving?
And more, much more, so much more, I could die from excitement!

Summary
A tired detective receives a case clearly inspired by the work of her former classmate. To stop more murders from happening she seeks help from the original game's co-creator and her former underclassman, while spending the little time she has to herself in her favourite café, with it's owner's eccentric daughter, that makes her feel both uneasy and weirdly calm. She never had time for relationships, be it platonic or romantic, due to her high-stress job, as she learned the hard way with her last boyfriend. When she begins to realise her feelings for both of the women, she has a choice to make; Either bury them deep within or face an another possibility of hurting someone she cares about, as well as herself in the process.
I dedicate this work of fiction to an old friend of mine, who presented me with this pairing by saying "I found the worst danganronpa ship yet" a couple of years ago. We lost contact, but you should know: I still believe Junkan to be one of the worst pairings in the franchise. And Kyoko is the main focus, so she's not being left-out like you assumed she'd be in this relationship.

Before Hajime finished his sentence, the man took one look down at his reserve course uniform and blinked a few times, his smile disappearing. "You're... From the reserve course?" He asked.
Hajime felt a frog in his throat when he asked that question. That was never a good question coming from an official Hope's Peak student. "Um... Yes..?" Hajime answered anxiously, unsure what the man was going to do with him next.
"Oh." The man said with an uninterested tone, letting go of Hajime and letting him fall back to the ground with a thud.
“Aagh- Hey!" Hajime grunted as his back hit the sidewalk again, sitting back up and rubbing the back of his head.
An AU fanfiction based on the idea that Nagito meets Hajime before he got lobotomized.
